“What happened to your face?”

Is a question I’ve heard many times over the past few days. What started as a heavily bleeding laceration along with a concussion has turned into a very significant black eye. This picture was taken yesterday:

Since yesterday, the yellows and purples around my eye have gotten larger and brighter.

Wear your helmets, kids.

Summer is over!

As of this minute, Summer has ended and Fall has begun. In a mere three to four weeks, A-Basin and Loveland should be open, and snow will become a regular occurence all across the state. It’s time to get some last minute biking and climbing in before it gets cold and our attention gets drawn to the cold and snow of the high peaks.

Winter’s coming

I checked the weather for the Beaver Creek area this morning and saw something I hadn’t seen in months: snow forecasted!

The heat has broken, and the highest peaks have been getting light dustings this week. Summer is coming to a close, with autumn rapidly approaching. In a mere two months, we’ll be skiing again.
